Top commercial grade steel forms the walls and roof
There is no more cost effective construction available for as many different uses. You costs can be up to half of the expense of traditional building methods and materials. Steel is so well engineered it carries extended warranties (sometimes 25 years).

Low-maintenance steel buildings
A wide variety of exterior steel panels can be used for siding and roofing. Steel panels are galvanized (zinc coated) or manufactured with Galvalume™ (zinc and aluminum) to protect against corrosion. They can take an exterior “coating” of polyester or other polymers. You only have to hose them down to keep them looking new.

Western weather is no match
When construction-grade steel is manufactured, it goes through hardening and tempering processes, which make the final product – tempered steel – stronger than some iron. The flexibility of the alloy is varied depending upon whether it is support and framing steel, or wall sheathing or roofing.

Economical yet energy efficient
People sometimes think just the opposite. But steel buildings can be “green” if they are white in color, especially the roof. This creates a “reflective” surface that bounces back the majority of the sun’s rays. That heat is not passed through to the interior. If your steel building will be heated and air conditioned, you will spend far less than you may have expected on energy costs. If not, a hot summer day won’t stifle people or animals inside.

Is a pole barn what you’re looking for?
If you're on a tight budget and need a small to mid-size barn you'll find that pole barns are highly versatile steel buildings. It’s a roof extended over a series of poles. Pole barns tend to be rectangular and don’t have exterior walls. We’ve built them for hay storage or livestock shelter. The advantage is storage space for large quantities that is easily accessible to vehicles, forklifts and the like. It is extremely popular for agricultural purposes, but makes exceptional boat and truck storage and covered parking.

Look to frame barns for strength
Steel buildings called frame barns are often installed on a concrete slab or masonry wall. Posts in the ground add stability and wind resistance. Also called “post-frame”, they perform exceptionally in wind and under snow loads.
In the wake of hurricane Katrina the National Frame Building Association reported frame buildings were left standing in the rubble of other buildings.

As a side note to frame barns, post frame churches, schools, warehouses and garages are being constructed with steel walls and roofing, because of their strength and durability.
