You have quality residential and commercial choices
  • Steel
  • Wood
  • Masonite®
  • Concrete

Steel exterior siding is perfect for homes, pole buildings, pole barns, and other agricultural, industrial and light commercial structures. It’s very strong and stands up to the ever-changing Western weather. It is custom fit to exact measurements.
Steel can be the classic horizontal style seen on many homes; vertical or the industrial look of corrugated steel. You have a choice of wood textures and fade-resistant, designer colors, with a selection of matching soffits, fascia, and gutters.

Your exterior siding can be real wood, engineered, or wood shingles; vertical planks like board and batten, or horizontal like clapboards, shakes, and shingles. As a local builder, we know the species that are readily available here. We make certain that the wood acclimates on site, is properly sealed, and is thoroughly protected upon installation.

  • Cedar shingles (shakes) blend with wooded landscapes. Shakes offer the natural look of real wood, but usually require less maintenance than wood clapboard.
  • Engineered wood – or composite is made with wood products and other materials. The panels may be molded to create the look of traditional clapboards and are inexpensive to install – saving you labor costs.
  • Pine has long been a standard for exterior siding. Pine and its related softwoods spruce and fir can be less expensive than other species. Fir is an economical option. It comes in long lengths, is easy to cut and install, takes a finish well, and is readily available here in the West.
  • Redwood resists shrinking, needs less maintenance than some other species, and is grown here in the West.

Masonite®, also known as cardboard, hardboard or clapboard, is exterior siding made of wood chips held together with glue, resin and wax. You get a dense board with a smooth finish. It is less expensive than solid wood and fiber cement. The fact that hardboard is partially synthetic makes it less prone to insects such as termites and fire ants. It is also a green building material since it uses fewer trees during the manufacturing process.

Concrete is most often thought of as fiber cement. We’ve seen major advances in technology and design, creating a wide range of options, from stucco to stone veneer, to concrete board materials. You get a rot proof, insect proof, fire retardant, low maintenance, and beautiful exterior look. If you want the appearance of authentic wood or stone with less upkeep, cement fiber is a good option. Concrete is fireproof, termite-proof, and may have a warranty up to fifty years.

  • Nothing impacts appearance more dramatically than the exterior siding you choose. Let us help you shop your options, for the material that suits the style of your house, the image of your commercial building; the requirements of your industrial site; or the demands of your agricultural buildings.

Exterior siding has never been a better value. You’ve never had more choices.
